Twisted Disney Art

So here at Travis Simmons Headquarters we love looking through fantasy art. We love fantasy, and we love Disney, and we love art. BUT, as you’ve come to know from my personality, I’m not precisely flowery and kindhearted. So I’ve compiled this list of my favorite Twisted Disney Art! Enjoy!!!!!

#1 The Little Mermaid

Alright, I have to start with The Little Mermaid, because it’s my absolute favorite Disney movie. When I was a kid I was convinced I was going to donate my body to science when I died so they could patch the bottom half of a shark to me and bring me back as a merman.

The thing I love about this photo is the detail. You have a fish hook through her eyebrow and you have one hand that’s actually her most loved fork.

#2 Wendy

So, while I’m not a huge fan of Peter Pan, I have to say that this rendition of Wendy just takes the cake. She’s definitely not someone you want to mess with. She’s a badass, and she doesn’t care who she knocks down. Just look at the severed hand of Hook on her belt. Yea. Don’t wanna meet her in a dark alley.

#3 Cinderella

The story of Cinderella is timeless. I loved it as a kid and though I don’t particularly love it now (not that I hate it) I think I could totally get behind a movie made in this style. Even with the rats.

#4 Merida

Brave was one of my favorite newer Disney movies. I actually ranted pretty hot and heavy when Disney inducted her into the “Princess Hall of Fame” and morphed her all out of Merida fashion. Here she is, contrary to Disney’s intervention, as badass as ever!

#5 Belle

Another one of my favorite Disney movies is Beauty and the Beast. I love the music, I love the setting, I love that Belle loves books, and I love that the Beast killed Gaston (accidentally). This photo is amazing. I love the ghostly presence of Belle. Did she hang herself?

#6 Tink

Alright, I really can’t stand Tinker Bell. She’s a bitch. Plain and simple. Can’t stand her at all. When I think of her I really want to scream “I don’t believe in fairies!” and watch her lose all the light in her wings. But this . . . This Tink is pretty epic.

#7 Meg

Alright, I can’t really explain what’s going on in this one. Did Meg destroy Hades and took his place? I do really love the image though. It’s like Meg met a gender bent Hades!

#8 Snow White

There’s not much good I can say about the original Disney princess. So I will talk about this picture instead. I love the dead zombie look. It takes the damsel in distress from the movies and makes her into her own savior!

#9 Pocahontas

This was a great movie. I love the song “Colors of the Wind.” This is a really scary image of Pocahontas, and I love it!

# 10 Tiana

Admitedly The Princess and the Frog wasn’t my most favorite Disney movie. I did like some aspects, like the setting and the Shadow Man, but some of the characters irritated me. This picture is pretty awesome though. Makes Tiana look like she’s wheeling and dealing in that voodoo.

So what do you think? Are there any princesses that you like that didn’t make the list? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
